SURPRISE RAK FOR MY BFF...

Hi All! It's my second post for today. Here's a RAK I am surprising my BFF Linda with tomorrow. I can't show you what's inside, but I sure hope she likes it! If she reads this post before tomorrow, I bet she won't be able to sleep tonight because she CAN'T STAND not knowing. LOL ... love you Sis!

HAPPY FRIDAY ALL MY SISTERS!!! I can't believe what I got in the mail this week! First, I get this card from my GF Denise. This Magnolia card is sooo pretty and in my favorite color too! Inside, Denise had filled it with stamped sentiments ... I JUST LOVE THEM! Check it out...

I was just beside myself. Thanks Denise ... I can't wait for our next play date! How about I bring oysters??

Then, the very next day, I get this awesome folder from Gracie! Man, I was shocked! Just look at the beautiful butterfly DP she used, and I love her "Friend" sentiment. Look at this...

SUPER DUPER RAK FROM MY BFF...

My BFF Linda just spoils me!!! Look at this awesome truckload of HK goodies she gave me! I'm so blessed to have Linda as my friend. She is always there for me (in good times and bad), always a good listener, a GREAT Mother, a FABULOUS wife, a CARING daughter, a FUN sister and an AWESOME co-worker ... and oh yeah a GREAT cook on top of that. Linda gives from her heart and never expects anything in return.


I always tell Linda that we will both get old together, still be great friends, be in the same nursing home (with her still yelling at me)! LOL! LOVE YOU SIS!

MY MAY OCS CARD...

Hello everyone! My partner this month for Teri's OCS was Sweet Enjoli. I wanted to use my new die with HK lounging on the beach with her Louis Vuitton sunglasses ... isn't she SASSY!! I sure hope Enjoli likes it! Teri's OCS is so much fun and I am so grateful to her for taking time out of her BUSY schedule to organize this every month. You are the BEST Teri! JEN'S BASIC CRICUT CLASS...

Happy Monday All! Yesterday, my BFF Linda and I went to Jen's Basic Cricut class. Jen was kind enough to open her home to us and we got to meet some of our creative sisters. I got to meet one of Jen's Glama Gurlz Rina, Janis (no blog YET), and Jasmine (also no blog yet). Jen showed us the ropes on operating our Cricut machines ... I HATE to read manuals! Jen also showed us some of the awesome things that the Cricut Design Studio can do. She has created some great templates so check them out here. You should see the treasure chest of Cricut cartridges this woman has ... my eyes almost POPPED OUT. After the class ended, we treated ourselves to some food, fun and talking stories ... we didn't even craft ... LOL!!!

As we were leaving, Jen was such a gracious host and gave us all this cute RAK! She cut the purse out with her Cricut and put some "Hook-ups" inside. SUPER CUTE ... THANKS JEN! I had a really good time and was so happy to finally meet the "Lolo Girl" herself in person and her boys are so precious! We were also treated to a special performance by Cy of "Hulikau"!

MY NEPHEW'S GRADUATION FROM UH...

Happy Saturday All! I just got home from my nephew's graduation from the University of Hawaii. The commencement was held at the Stan Sheriff Center and it was PACKED with people. I'm so proud of my nephew Jared who graduated with a degree in Engineering ... you go boy! After the graduation ceremony, the family went to the Willows to have lunch. Whoa, talk about a buffet ... CRAB, Hawaiian Food, prime rib, salads, desserts, the WORKS! I am so full right now, I think I will just have an apple for dinner... Anyway, here's the card I made for Jared's graduation.

I used the CB graduation embossing folder but it's kinda hard to see. I tried to keep it manly ... I have such a hard time with "man" cards. Sigh...

I'm going to Jen's Cricut Class tomorrow so I hope to learn a lot so I can start playing with my machine. YIPPEE!! Thanks for stopping by...

A LUCIOUS LUNCH AND SOME CANDY...

EYE CANDY THAT IS!!! My BFF Linda and I decided to treat ourselves to lunch today at Hukilau in downtown and have a nice lunch to release some STRESS! Well, as it turns out, our waiter was this super cute 100% local guy. OMG, we were like 2 dirty old ladies drooling over this guy, and on top of that, he was jucier than the HUGE Hukilau Burgers we ate. LOL!!! Linda told me that he had "lucious lips" so of course I couldn't stop staring at them while he was talking to us!!

Linda asked me if I thought he was married ... I said OF COURSE HE IS ... he has a ring on. But NOOO, she doesn't believe it so as we were leaving, she kinda whispered something to him, and he looked at me so I asked ... WHAT DID SHE SAY??!!?? He laughed and said that yes, he was married and his wife bought his ring 2 sizes too small so he could NEVER take it off ... SMART GIRL!!! OMG, she actually told the guy that I WANTED TO KNOW IF HE WAS MARRIED ... some BFF huh??? We were laughing as we were leaving the restaurant and then ... I said "Hey, I smell listerine or something" ... well girls, Linda must have spritzed some in her mouth BEFORE talking to him. You go girlfriend ... I'm going to tell Eddie that you are two-timing him!

Sorry for my ranting, but I just HAD to tell you girls the story ... my BFF ... she has no SHAME! LMAO!

Happy Wednesday Sisters! WOW, look at this RAK I received from Denise!! I didn't know that Denise was so multi-talented. Check out this awesome bracelet, matching earrings, and another pair of earrings she made! Man, I'm impressed that she can watch all those kiddies during the day, cook dinner for her family, clean the house, and STILL find time to craft & make jewelry on top of that. Man, my eyes start closing at 9:00 pm ... yes us old folks have to have our BEAUTY SLEEP!! LOL!!

A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO MY MOM...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all my blogging sisters!! I don't want to put a damper on your special day, but I really wanted to have this tribute to my Mother whom I lost on August 16, 2006, and I hope you don't mind me saying a few words.

My Mom was such a strong woman who raised 4 children on her own and was a true inspiration to me. My mother's teachings have made me the wife and mother I am now to my hubby and 2 precious sons. I miss my Mommy very much, and not a day goes by without me having thoughts of her. Sometimes, I still reach for the phone to call her, but then I realize I cannot, so I speak to her in my heart and mind and I know that she can hear my every word. I know she is in a better place and no longer suffering, but I still wish that she was with me. I LOVE AND MISS YOU MOM...

RAK FOR JOY...

Hi All! Here's a RAK I sent to Joy (A Place to Be Me) as a small token of my appreciation for the folder she gave to me with a bunch of stamped images. Joy was so kind to think of me and I can't wait to meet her in person. I followed Jodi's tutorial on making the folder and had so much fun creating it. Thanks Jodi for your excellent tutorial because me and directions don't get along too well. LOL!
I used paper from my DCWV Pocket Full of Posies pack and a Bella image. I used some stickles to add a little bling to the cupcake and dress. I then finished the folder off with some Pima flowers and a sugar coated brad to hold the flower all together. I had lots of fun making this folder!
