RAKS RECEIVED ON SUNDAY...

Happy Tuesday All! I still can't get over how much FUN I had on Sunday at Denise's house. Thanks again Denise and Jim for having us over. I wanted to show you all the AWESOME RAKS I received from my blogging sisters. This first one is from Denise ... it's just as gorgeous as she is! The folder was filled with images too...


This second RAK is from her daughter Jamee ... boy was I surprised to get this PURPLE Pochaco bag ... OMG, it's so pretty that I don't even want to get it dirty...


Next is a crayon box from my BFF (YOU ALL KNOW WHO THAT IS) ... I love it ... it was filled with the prettiest flowers. Thank you Linda!

These images came from Dawney's Dustin Pike collection ... I can't wait to make something with them! Dawney is even CRAZIER than me and my BFF put together ... LOL!

This RAK is from Nicky. Can you believe she stayed up until 3am making these goodie favors for us ... it was filled with YUMMY CHOCOLATE REISIN ... I'm not sharing these goodies! Thank you so much Nicky...

This is is from Jenny V. She is the cutest ... so sweet and tiny. She made furikake chex mix and put them in a pretty container with a vinyl HK cut from her Cricut ... so creative huh! Thanks Jenny!

Then, we got a surprise visit from Joni H. She gave me this super cute box and it had so many goodies. Thank you so much Joni!

Last but not least, Denise had a lucky name drawing. She put all of our names in a bag and her hubby Jim picked 2 names. One of them was MINE, and I got this cutest post-it note holder. Thanks D Girl!

FUN DAY OF CRAFTING...

Happy Sunday Sisters! I had so much fun today crafting with some of our blogging sisters. Denise was gracious enough to open her beautiful home to us ... THANK YOU D GIRL! Okay, I got to play with my BFF Linda, Jamee, Dawney, Nicky, and Jenny V. Boy, talk about having FUN! We shared our stamps with each other, so I spent most of the day stamping images from everyone's stash. In fact, I think that's ALL I did, other than talking, eating, and watching everyone else do stuff .

Denise is just as mental as ever ... man she is hyper! Dawney is a gas ... she brought SO MUCH STUFF to Denise's house and we kept teasing her about how much she brought, and on top of that, spent half the day talking before she started creating. Eh Dawney, don't forget to email me your birth certificate. LOL! Nicky is so sweet and quiet, and sadly had to leave so only stayed for about an hour. Jamee was so quiet and I think she is the winner of creating the most during the whole day. Jenny is such a sweetie ... she is so tiny, and I hope my BFF neva scare her with all her nonsense. On top of all that, I got to meet Joni H. because she stopped by before going to out with her family (she has the cutest children). Thanks Joni for my surprise RAK! You should check out these ladies' blogs because they have some super awesome creations.

I made these accordion folders that Enjoli had on her blog. She was kind enough to put a link to Adela's tutorial so I decided to take a chance and try to make them. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out...

FOOTBALL BIRTHDAY CARD...

Hello Bloggers ... HAPPY SATURDAY! Quick post for me before I leave to do Mommy duties. Last Saturday, my family went to a 1st Birthday Party at Dole Ballrooms. The theme of the party was football, so I decided to use my football Ian stamp to make this card. I tried to use UH colors but was a little embarrassed to find out that the theme was "Dallas Cowboys"! Oh well, I hope the family didn't notice my booboo...

At the party, they had a Reggae group playing ... Ooklah the Moc. I really enjoyed their music. At one point, I started "skanking" and my 2 boys looked at me at said "Oh Mom, that's just not right, sit down!" How rude yah! If only they knew that in my younger days, I had some mean "moves". LOL! Hey, after all, I did meet their Dad at a nightclub in 1976, where he fell in love with my MOVES! HAHAHAHA...

Two more days before the weekend .. YAY!!! I received this FABULOUS RAK from a new blogging sister Elena. Boy you sisters should check her blog out ... she has some SUPER CUTE creations.

She sent me these beautiful crocheted flowers that she personally makes ... CHECK IT OUT...

I can't wait to add it to one of my creations ... stay tuned for that!

As a thank you, I sent Elena this crayon box that I saw on Joy's blog (she's one of my idols and I'm always copying her stuff ... sorry Joy) where she originally saw it on Tammy's blog ... whew, hope I got that right! I filled it with Gorjuss Girl images ... I hope she likes it!

I sent this other RAK to De because I saw a comment she left saying she didn't own any of the new Ketto images from Stamping Bella, so I decided to send her some Ketto images. I hope she likes it too...

OMG MY VERY FIRST TILDA CARD...

Okay Sisters, this is my very FIRST Tilda creation! Linda, be quiet because I KNOW you are saying something. Okay, I'll explain to all of you that I had commented to my BFF that I had a hard time with the Magnolia images and couldn't figure out what I didn't like about them. So, she was quick to tell me that it was because they had NO MOUTH. However, since seeing all your FAB creations, Tilda started growing on me.

Then, when I saw this Wall stamp on Roses on Paper, I knew that I just HAD TO HAVE IT! I got it in yesterday's mail and couldn't wait to create something. Soooo, here's what I put together. I used Giggling Tilda to sit on the wall, and added butterflies. It's plain, but I kinda like it and hope you do too!

I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH SO MANY ANGELS...

Hi Sisters! I wanted to share with you some awesome RAKs I recently received from these special Angels in my life. My world has changed so much since I joined the blogging world. This first RAK is from my GF Michele who is getting really good with her cards and crafts. She surprised me with this French Fry Box filled with brads galore...

Here's a shot of what was inside ... sorry for the fuzziness of the picture ... I need to take photography lessons b/c for some reason no matter how many pictures I took of this, the camera REFUSED to focus ... ARRRGGGHHHH!

THANKS MICHELE for being so thoughtful and also being such a good friend. This next RAK is from a special Angel that recently flew into my life. Teri was kind enough to invite me and my BFF to have a quick craft lunch and I was so happy that Joy could join us. Man that woman is nutso... Anyway, we made fun of Joy because she wanted to keep all the "leftovers" from our project, so she challenged herself and told us that she was going to make something with it. This is what she came up with, a mini version of Teri's DSC! I was so impressed and I still cannot get over the fact that she actually made it.

I missed out on a crafting day that she had with my BFF (you all know who that is), and also joined by Jamee this past Sunday. BUT, being the sweet & generous person that she is, Denise asked Linda to give me this purse...

TERI'S JUNE OCS.....

Hi all my Sisters! I played in Teri's OCS and was lucky to get 2 partners this month. My first partner was Vina. Okay ladies, as soon as I saw Claudette's Sweeties, I knew I had to HAVE SOME! She made some special orders for me, so I decided to use them in my OCS. Here's what I came up with...

I was so lucky to have a second partner this month and it was Jamee. I decided to use a different image for Jamee's card. Here it is...

GRADUATION CARD...

HAPPY SUNDAY ALL! I went to my GF's son's graduation party today at the Okinawan Center and I had lots of fun creating this card for him. I used my Cricut to cut out the words, and had some bling paper to punch out the cap & diploma which I added pop dots to give them some dimension. I couldn't make it too frilly because he's a guy and you all know how that goes ... LOL! Congratulations Bryson and may your future days in college be some of the best years of your life!

After the party, I came home, turned on the air, put the Lakers/Magic game on the tube, and continued working on my project. I really liked the post-it note holders that Joy made, so I put a bunch of them together for some friends at work ... I'll post picures of them a little later.

FAREWELL CARD...

One of my co-workers has moved on to another adventure in her life. She will be missed by many at the office. I wanted to make the farewell card for her, but it turns out that a lot of people wanted to sign the card, so I decided to make it in a book form so I made the cover on 8-1/2 x 11 paper. She loves going to the beach, so I decided to make it a beach-themed card, and wanted to use her favorite color ... blue.

I used my Sizzix Palm Tree that I bought from J's Knicknacks last week. I added dew drops and a rhinestone for coconuts. I also used my Quikutz beach chair, umbrella and rubber slippers to add a little extra to the scene. The last part is a Sun that I just cut out and made some "rays of sunshine" and finished it off by embelishing the sand with dew drops to give it a little different effect.

Here's a closeup of the Coconut tree. I used pop dots for the top portion of the tree to give it some dimension.

GET WELL CARD FOR A BLOGGING SISTER...

A while ago, I was reading Rita's blog and she posted about a friend Deb Golan who was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness. Then I saw a Prayer Request on Jen's blog about Deb. Although I don't know Deb personally, I checked out her blog, and she has some of the most BEAUTIFUL creations. I decided to send her some love from Hawaii and sent this card to her to show some Aloha. Wishing Deb and her family the best, and am adding a prayer for her.

This sad story reminds me to keep my loved ones close and to always be thankful for everything that I have. Hugs to all of you!

RAKS GALORE...

HAPPY SATURDAY MY SISTERS!! I am truly blessed with having the greatest GFs! Teri surprised me with this little purse and a WHOLE BUNCH of images for me to create with. Teri is the reason my BFF and I started blogging.

Sorry for the quality of the picture, but for some reason I couldn't get my camera to focus on that gorgeous Ketto image ... grrrr!! Take my word for it ... it's absolutely FAB! THANKS TERI GIRL!

Next is an awesome post-it note holder I received from Joy (A Place to be Me). I finally got to meet Joy on Thursday and boy is she a RIOT! She's even more mental than my BFF! LOL!!

Last, but not least is a RAK from my BFF Linda! She surprised me with this Leila image folder and gave me some BLING. She really spoils me but I LOVE IT! LOL!

RECORD BREAKING OCS...

Happy Hump Day Sisters! One of my partners for Teri's June OCS is Jamee of Pink-Beach-Ball. Okay, I was in total shock when I got home today ... and low and behold, I got this card in the mail from Jamee girl. Jamee used one of the cutest images from TGF. The coloring is so precious, the paper, flowers and brads are just perfect, and she also used glitter on the flowers Check it out...

I'm so IMPRESSED ... it's only June 3rd ... that's gotta be an all time RECORD. Okay, Jamee girl, my card is still being created by my old brain cells so you gonna have to wait! LOL! Thanks for visiting and talk to you all real soon! TAKE CARE!
