AUGUST OCS...

Happy FRIDAY!!!  I wanted to share with you the August OCS card I made for my partner Jovita of Arizona.  If you want to join in the FUN, please stop by my BFF Linda's blog for the sign up ... you won't be disappointed!  The theme this month was to make an Asian card and I was soooo happy because I have so many Asian stamps, but never had a chance to ink them.  Okay so here is my take...

I hope you can see the embossing folder that I used from the Asian bundle!  I really like all of the embossing folders in that set.  I hope Jovita likes it. 

Well I have a lot of projects to work on so hope you all have a very enjoyable weekend!

TAMIKO'S THURSDAY TEASERS...

Happy Thursday ... one more day before the weekend!!!  Hope you are all doing great!  Today is the day for another Tamiko's Thursday Teaser.  As part of the Tamiko's Creative Team, we were asked to create "anything but a card".  I had to rack my brain and decided to make this box to hold 3x3 cards ... I jacked the idea from SCS ... heehee...  Here's my take on it - hope you all  like it!

CLUB ANYA MONDAY MANIA CHALLENGE...

TAMIKO'S THURSDAY TEASERS...

Greetings Everyone!  First off, I wanted to thank all of you who left such sweet comments for me on my tribute to my Mom ... you are all the greatest friends anyone could ever ask for!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

For Tamiko's Thursday Teasers, we were asked to create using a sketch.  This was my first time doing blonde hair and I kinda like it and am happy with my card and I hope you like it too...

SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO MY MOM...

Hello Sisters!  Today is a day filled with mixed emotions for me.  I lost my Mom 4 years ago today.  My Mom was a very special woman who was strong enough to raise 4 children pretty much on her own and I hope that she is looking down at all of us today and is feeling proud of what her children have become.  I try my best to walk in her footsteps and teach my children what is right and wrong, and how to always treat people with respect, kindness, and to be very thankful for all the things that we have been blessed with in our lives.  It's not always easy, but I hope that my teachings (they probably think it's more like nagging) will someday help them grow into kind and respectful adults.  Okay, I'm getting a little bit too emotional here...

On a happier note, I am sooooo glad that my Mom is pain free and is living it up in Heaven!  Purple was her favorite color so here are some pictures that I am sending to her...

NEW MONTHLY TAG SWAP...

Hello All!  I have been trying to think of something to motivate myself to create more.  A lightbulb went on over my head this morning and I thought "HEY, ABOUT A TAG SWAP?"  The Holidays are fast approaching and if we begin now, we can all have a nice stash of homemade gift tags to use for Christmas.

Okay, the rules will be:

1.  Post a comment here (by August 14th) if you want to join in the fun.
2.  Send me a separate email with your name, address, blog link, and email address (please do not post your personal information in your comment).
3.  You will be paired with a partner and I will email you all the info.
4.  Create 3 identical Christmas Tags and mail it to your partner by the end of the month.
5.  Please NO RAKs ... just the tags.
