Happy Monday Sisters! Hope your week has started off well and that you are all looking foward to the long 3-day Labor Day Weekend coming up. I wanted to share with you these 3 thank you cards I made. The first card is for Cami. Cami holds a very special place in my heart and I wanted to thank her for the awesome truckload of goodies she recently gave me. This second card is for Joy. Joy was so kind to surprise me with some super cute stamps. I really enjoy her company because she's sooo super funny and always thinking of others. I wanted to use one of the images she gave me which was the Popcorn Bear. I hope you liked the card Joy...

This next special angel is Joy's DD Taelyn. Taelyn is such a SWEET LITTLE GIRL! She came to the social that Teri recently had and was so busy helping everyone with their bind it all projects. She was kind enough to make mine for me because I was too busy "socializing" and told me "no charge" ... so CUTE YAH! I just love you Taelyn and can't stop hugging you whenever I see you. Thank you so much and I really hope you like the card and "surprise"...

JEN'S ALOHA RAK FOR AUGUST...

Happy Monday Sisters! I wanted to share with you the Aloha RAK I received from Lailani Sanford of Chula Vista, California. She made me this awesome HK card, and also sent me some really pretty cards for me to use! THANK YOU LAILANI ... I LOVE ALL OF THEM! Jen's Aloha RAK is so much fun because you don't know who your partner is until you receive the surprise package...

My Aloha RAK partner was Carol Jonasen of Canada, and I made this card for her when we were preparing for the Hurricane so I was thinking about rain. I forgot to take pictures of her goodies ... duh ... but I sent her some prima flowers from Roses on Paper and several bling embelishments. I hope she liked it!

Happy Hot Humpday! Boy sisters, it's like a sauna outside, but at least the hurricane went AWAY!

I am so thankful for meeting some special people since joining blogland. My BFF Linda and I have been welcomed with open arms and hearts of GOLD. I received this RAK from one of the first Angels in blogland to shower me with sweet comments and images of a stamp from TGF that I was waiting for. Chalsie is just as pretty on the outside as she is on the inside ... BTW, I was only joking when I told you on Saturday that I wanted to "scratch your face" because you were so pretty! HAHAHAHA ... I had to reassure your gorgeous daughter that I was only KIDDING... Chalsie surprised me with this awesome stamp and look at the holder she put it in!

She bought my BFF Linda the other image so she said that we have to SHARE ... you hear that Linda!!! Thank you Chalsie for being such a sweetie!

This next RAK is from a woman that holds a special place in my heart. I didn't meet Cami until this past Saturday, but she continually leaves me the most PRECIOUS comments on my blog and I will be eternally grateful to her welcoming me with open arms. Joy and her DD Taelyn are so PRECIOUS and always thinking of others. Joy is always showering people with gifts, and never expecting things in return. She surprised me with this RAK on Saturday...

Joy and I share the same need for STAMPS ... I told her I'm GREEDY... LOL! Check out this awesome Manga card that she gave me ... I going get the stamp too. HAHAHAHAHA!

OCS FOR AUGUST...

Hi Everyone! My partner for Teri's August OCS was Michelle U. who is such an awesome creator. I was so nervous to be partnered with her! I looked through my stamps and decided to use my new stamp from Alota Rubberstamps because I thought it was so super cute. I used pink and brown because they are her favorite colors. I also used one of my CB embossing folders for the background, copics for coloring, flowers from Roses on Paper, and dew drops. I hope she liked it...

FUN AND FABULOUS EVENT...

Yesterday, I was honored to be included in a get together with several super creative crafters from the Island. Teri wanted to do a "test run" for this type of event for her crafting sisters to get to meet, participate in some projects, demos and SHOPPING! A special shout out to Danny, Barbie and Sunny Rosario who were so generous to let us use their showroom for the event. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Among the demonstrators were Jen who did a Cricut demo and had products from her store Little C's to sell. Thanks Jen for taking time out of your busy schedule! Jodi was gracious enough to do a demo on her spectacular coloring skills. Thanks Jodi for showing us your techinques ... I learned a lot and I hope to come close to your skill level! Claudette did a demo on her excellent skills working with digital images. She was even more generous and made us all name tags using her gorgeous Sweeties. Thanks Claudette you are just the sweetest! Manle of Pineapple Cove was gracious enough to have a kiosk for digi scrapbooking. She has some awesome designs and you need to check her store out at Kahala Mall. Thanks Manle ... you are so generous to take time out of your busy schedule to meet us! Joy of Tamiko's brought products from her store to sell ... We also had a slew of items from Roses on Paper, and I couldn't resist getting those new Belles n Whistles stamps. WHOOHOO. BOY SHE HAD SOME DEALS that you just couldn't pass on. Thanks Joy joining in the FUN! Sorry, I don't have pictures of the projects because I was too busy socializing that I didn't finish them ... LOL!

Last but not least we have Teri. As you all know from reading her blog, she has some issues with her hip, but she was still able to go through with the event. She scored some awesome donations from local vendors and was able to give every participant a goodie bag filled with surprises, had she also had lots of prizes to giveaway. Teri is such a generous and giving person ... LOVE YOU GIRL!!! I think she did such a fabulous job, and I sure hope she can put something together like this again.

I have to give a special thanks to a very special assistant ... Taelyn (Joy's DD) was really busy helping all of the crafters put their binder noteholders together. She is a pro just like her Mommy! THANK YOU TAELYN you are one AWESOME girl!

SPECIAL BIRTHDAY CARD FOR A SWEET ANGEL...

Happy Thursday Sisters! As most of you know, Teri recently celebrated her birthday so my BFF Linda and I took Teri out to lunch on Tuesday. We went to our "special restaurant" because we wanted her to meet Mr. Lucious Lips! To our disappointment, he wasn't working that day (I hope he didn't quit). Linda kept looking at all the waiters asking "Is that him? Is that him? Hey, I think that's him." Wishful thinking ... I'm going to tell Eddie that she's two-timing him! Joy was supposed to join us, but she couldn't make it ... yah right ... I know she kidnapped Lucious Lips and kept him all for herself!!!

Anyway, we were still happy to celebrate with Teri and we all just talked, and talked, and talked... Here's the card I made for the Special Angel ... I hope she liked it...

RAK FROM MY BFF...

Happy Tuesday All! I'm so glad the storm has pretty much dissipated and the most we will get is some rain.

Last week was a very difficult week for me... My BFF Linda was so concerned for me that she surprised me with this RAK because she just wanted to see me SMILE! Boy let me tell you, I was smiling from ear to ear, and everyone probably saw only teeth & gums! Linda is just the greatest ... not because of the gifts, but because her friendship is so pure and she is very protective of me. Every time someone makes me unhappy, she wants to give them "lickin" ... a local slang for "beat them up and teach them a lesson they will never forget." LOL! I swear we must have been sisters in a past life! Look at what she surprised me with...

These Smirk stamps and papers are just the CUTEST!!! Linda also made me a card that said "Trouble with a Capital T" and "Back Off" on the cover. Sorry, I didn't take a picture of it because I immediately put it in a spot so everyone could see it... Trust me the card is SUPER CUTE!

OCS CARD FOR AUGUST...

Happy Sunday Everyone! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! I was lucky to meet Michelle U. and her DD Amara at Denise's house several weeks ago. They are both such a joy and I am so happy to have finally met them in person!

As most of you know, Teri organizes a month OCS. If you haven't joined the fun, check out Teri's blog for the monthly signups. For August, I was partnered with Michelle and she sent me the most beautiful shaker card. If you look at it very closely, you will notice that she added stickles to the flower and sentiment. Boy, if you could see this card IRL, you would be so amazed ... check it out...

As an added bonus, I got the most precious note from her DD Amara! Amara recently started school, and look at how well she writes ... very impressive! She's already starting to have the creative knack just like her Mommy!

JEN'S ALOHA RAK...

Hi All! I decided to play in Jen's Aloha RAK for the month of July. The idea was to make 5 notecards for your partner. A lightbulb went off over my head and I remembered that I had purchased some really pretty Laura Ashley embossed notecards on one of my last trips to Michael's in Vegas. I rummaged through all my stuff and FOUND IT ... YIPPEE! Yes Linda, if you were organized, you would be able to find things too! LOL! I just gotta get my digs into my BFF because she's always telling me how messy her craft room is. I dared her to send me a BEFORE and AFTER picture but she refused. She thinks that I would post it ... I would never do such a thing ... heehee!!! Oh sorry, I had ADD for a moment ... now back to my Aloha RAK. I decided to add purse images, ribbons and dew drops to the card and wholla ... here's the end product.
