BABY SHOWER CARD...

Hi Everyone!  It's kinda late, but I wanted to share this baby shower card I made for Mama!  A bunch of us recently had a surprise shower for her and I hope she enjoyed herself!  We played games and guess what??  I won the game where you use ribbon to guess how big the mama to be's stomach is.  I used my 2 thighs as a measurement and it was almost exactly the size of Mama's stomach ... HAHAHAHAHA!!!  So shame yah ... here's my card...

I'm so blessed to have met Mama through blogland and I can't wait to meet her little man!  Take care and talk to you again real soon.

TAMIKO'S THURSDAY TEASERS...

Wow, it's Thursday already and time for another Tamiko's Thursday Teasers.  This week we were assigned to alter a CC Design image and to use a sketch.  We were given special permission from the owner Christine to do the altering this ONE time for our special assignment.  We were to only alter the head and/or body.  What I did was use Pippi's head and attached her to Heidi's body ... it was FUN and I hope you like what I created...

SEPTEMBER OCS...

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  My cold is getting better with each passing day and I wanted to thank all of you for your get well wishes!  I wanted to share my September OCS card with all of you.  I was lucky to be partnered with Leanne ... check out her blog for her awesome creations.  I wanted to change it up for September so I decided to use one of my Manga images ... I hope Leanne likes it!  I used some velvet textured paper that I recently bought at the Scrapper's Jam.  Check it out...

MONTHLY TAG SWAP...

Hello Everyone!  I wanted to share tags that I made and received for the Monthly Christmas Tag Swap I am hosting.  The first set is with my BFF Linda ... I wanted to show you the size comparison ... I like it BIG and Linda likes it small!  OMG we cracked up so bad that day because my tag looked like a Christmas ornament next to her tag...

This next one is from Joni ... I just LOVE what she did with her tag ... THANKS JONI!!!

This one is from Debi from Hilo!  I was so happy to meet Debi at Teri's Summer Social ... our table was really rowdy...  Look at the whole truckload of the CUTEST tags.  I love what Debi did with the corners - it really adds a very special effect on the tags.  THANKS DEBI!

Wow, it's Thursday already ... sorry but this will be a short post because I have been feeling a bit under the weather and haven't been to work this whole week.  I guess everything caught up with me, but I am feeling better with each passing day.  I need to apologize to my OCS (Leanne) and Tag (Debi) partners because my projects are done, but haven't been able to make it to the Post Office.  But don't worry, they will be coming very shortly ... so sorry!  Okay, enough complaining.  As part of Tamiko's Creative Team, we were assigned to create a card using bling, buttons & brads.  Since Halloween is approaching soon, I decided to do a card using one of my Pink Cat Studio stamps so here is my contribution...

TAMIKO'S THURSDAY TEASERS ... CHALLENGE WEEK...

HAPPY THURSDAY EVERYONE!  It's that time again for another Tamiko's Thursday Teasers.  This week it is a CHALLENGE WEEK and in order to join in, you must use an altered image from TGF on a card or a 3-D project. What this means is you have to mix and match 2 different images from TGF, or alter something like the eyes, hair, etc.  The deadline to enter is September 30, 2010 on Tamiko's blog and the prize will be Sweet Anya.  Check out what the CT has created to inspire you ... here is my contribution...

What I did was use Odette's head and stuck it on Flirty Anya's body.  I used Odette because I think her features are just sooo elegant and the dress of Flirty Anya is just too sassy for words!  I then adhered it on a mini composition book!  Hope you like my take on the challenge and don't forget to enter at Tamiko's Blog.

BABY SHOWER FAVORS & CARD...

First of all, I would like to say a special prayer for everyone who lost their lives, lost a loved one, or suffered from the tragic events of 9/11.  I pray that we NEVER experience something like that again!

On a little happier note, today I am attending a baby shower for a friend who recently adopted a 9 month old boy from Japan!  My friend is a single guy and I am so happy for him for taking that special step to become a father.  He is such a giving person and shares his love and Aloha to all that are lucky enough to know him.  My GF asked me to make the favors for the shower and I knew exactly what I wanted to make as soon as she asked me.  I hardly make boy things so I was excited to be able to use my Quickutz tractor and cement truck dies.  I couldn't find a dump truck die so I surfed the net and printed out a picture of a toy dump truck, enlarged it to the size I wanted, and made my own template!  I mounted them on a scallop circle and adhered them to a package of cookies.  I hope everyone will like what I created...

I also created this card to help him celebrate FATHERHOOD!

A VERY SPECIAL GRADUATE...

HAPPY FRIDAY ALL!!!  My BFF Linda's son Ryan recently graduated from Kaiser High School and you probably saw all the pictures of his celebration on Linda's blog.  Man had sooo much food ... couldn't even eat dinner that night.  I made this card for him and used a sentiment that I fell in love with ... it says it all...

SYMPATHY CARD...

It's HUMP DAY!!!  Last Friday, Hubby and I had to attend a funeral for one of his friends who passed away suddenly at the age of 31 ... sooo young!!!  I really don't like to make sympathy cards, but like all of you we are faced with having the need to make them at one time or another.  I made the following card using a sentiment I bought from Munchkins a while ago...

Attending the funeral was really sad for me and everyone else who attended.  To see the parents, sibling and relatives having to mourn their loss really makes you think that life is just too short and we should all live every day to the fullest and have no regrets.  REST IN PEACE CHRIS ... YOU WILL SURELY BE MISSED BY MANY.
